In Feb. 2018 the EOS Salon at Drew was renamed the Rodney M. Gilbert Memorial Salon and Lecture Series. As Curator for the inaugural event in the newly named series, the evening examined race rebellions throughout history featuring excerpts from Nat Turner’s Confession, Detroit ‘67, Twilight Los Angeles and a new play Down Neck, by Pia Wilson, about the Newark Rebellion of 1967. The keynote and discussion was delivered by the Dynamic duo, Dr. Junius Williams and Dr. Antionette Ellis-Williams.
